Seamless Shapewear Sample Order Process: How to Place One

· Admin

Getting your first seamless sample made is the easiest way to confirm whether a factory can deliver what you need. The seamless shapewear sample order process is straightforward. You tell us what you need, we make the sample, you review it, and then decide whether to move forward. This guide covers exactly what to prepare, what decisions you need to make, and what happens at each step.

Step 1: What Information to Prepare Before You Reach Out

Before you contact a factory about a seamless sample, you will need a clear picture of the product you want. The more details you provide upfront, the faster you will get an accurate quote and timeline.

Here is what we need to get started:

What to prepareWhy it matters
Product type and referenceBodysuit, shorts, top, or full body — a photo or style ID helps us identify the right starting point
Target compression levelLight, medium, or firm — this is programmed into the knitting machine, not adjusted later
Back opening preferenceHook-and-eye, zipper, seamless integrated opening, or none — affects sample cost and complexity
Size rangeFrom 3XS to 6XL — tell us your target sizes so we use the right mold
Color preferenceExisting colors are faster and cheaper; custom Pantone matching adds time and cost
Packaging and logoIf you need branded packaging or labels, let us know at this stage

If you are unsure about compression levels or back opening options, that is normal. We can walk through the choices with you during the quote stage. The important thing is to start the conversation.

Not sure which product type fits your market? Our seamless shapewear custom order process guide covers the full range of what we manufacture and how the development cycle works from product selection to bulk production.

Step 2: What to Expect After You Submit Your Requirements

Once we receive your product details, here is how the process works.

We reply within 24 hours to confirm we have received your requirements. If anything is unclear, we follow up with specific questions rather than sending a generic acknowledgment.

During the review, we assess:

  • Whether your product matches an existing mold — existing styles are faster and more affordable
  • Custom development needs (new molds, custom yarn, or special back openings) add to the timeline
  • Sample fee and timeline based on the complexity of your request

After the review, you receive a formal quote that includes the sample fee, estimated completion date, and what is included in the sample. Sample fees and timelines vary by design complexity: confirm these at inquiry.

Once you accept the quote, your sample enters our production queue.

Step 3: How Sample Development Works

Once your sample request is confirmed, the development process follows a clear sequence:

StageWhat happens
Knitting program setupOur technicians program the seamless knitting machine with your specifications — compression zones, sizing, and structure
Knitting and shapingThe machine knits the garment as a single piece. No cutting or sewing at this stage
Dyeing and finishingThe sample is heat-set to lock in shape and dimensions
Quality checkWe inspect the sample for sizing, compression, and structural integrity
ShipmentThe approved sample is packed and shipped to your address

The standard sample development cycle takes approximately 7 days from confirmation. Custom designs (new molds, special yarn, complex back openings) may take longer. Confirm specific timelines at inquiry.

If the first sample does not meet your expectations, we offer one free revision. Tell us what needs to change (size adjustments, compression tuning, or design modifications) and we redo the sample. Revised samples follow the same 7-day cycle.

Sample fees are fully deductible from your bulk order. Read our sample policy for the deduction rules and conditions.

Step 4: How to Review Your Sample and Request Changes

When your sample arrives, check it against your original requirements. Here is what to look for specifically with seamless garments:

Fit and sizing. Seamless garments stretch differently from sewn products. Try the sample on. Does it feel right at your target compression level? If it feels tighter or looser than expected, note where and how much.

Compression zones. Seamless shapewear is programmed to provide different levels of compression in different areas: firm in the waist, lighter in the bust or thighs. Check that the pressure feels balanced where you need it.

Knitting quality. Look for uneven density, skipped stitches, or visible yarn irregularities. A well-executed seamless sample should have clean, uniform knitting across the entire garment.

Color accuracy. Compare the sample color against your reference or Pantone specification under natural light.

If anything does not match your expectations, let us know. We offer one free revision. You tell us what to adjust, and we remake the sample. Common revision requests include sizing adjustments, compression tuning, and back opening modifications.

Once the sample meets your requirements, you approve it and we move to the next stage.

Step 5: What Happens After You Approve the Sample

After you approve the sample, two things happen.

First, the mold and knitting program used for your sample are saved in our production system. This means your approved design is ready for bulk production at any time, with no need to redevelop or reprogram from scratch.

Second, we move to order confirmation. You finalize the bulk quantity, delivery timeline, and payment terms. If your order reaches the required volume, the sample fee you paid is fully deducted from the total.

If you are ready to move forward, talk to our team about your bulk order requirements.
