1. What are the standard color fastness and shrinkage tests for intimate apparel?
What specific indicators are included in the standard color fastness and shrinkage rate tests for underwear and shapewear?
Colorfastness testing primarily includes four core dimensions: resistance to washing, resistance to perspiration (acid/alkali), resistance to rubbing (dry/wet), and light fastness. For high-end intimate apparel, these indicators are typically required to meet a strict standard of level 4 or 4-5 (out of 5). Shrinkage testing (dimensional stability) requires that after standard industrial machine washing and drying, the dimensional change rate in both the warp and weft directions must be strictly controlled within 3% to 5%.
